Firstly, I have to apologise for not writing in so long. The reason is that I have been shooting 2 films back to back! No time at all to blog or do anything else. My daily routine is:

6.30am - Wake up and have brekkie, go over lines
7.00am - Shower
7.30am - Leave home
8.00am - arrive at location for wardrobe, makeup etc and shoot
6pm - Finish day
7pm - Arrive home
730-830pm - dinner

8.30-11pm - learn lines for next day

SLEEP!

So this is repeated every day except Sundays.

So today is Sunday. And a blissful day it is in the glorious UK countryside.

I wanted to tell you about my new screen foundation. I know I harp on about Make Up Forever's HD foundation, but for some reason, maybe my skin has changed, as I have been spending so much time in India, it is more drying on my skin in the UK. It works really well in India in the high heat and humidity, yet for some reason, now in the UK, it feels drying. I am still going to use it for my red carpet in India, but have to change for the UK.

Currently I am shooting my new film, "NAACH LE LONDON", where I play the lead. It is an amazing script and film, and I can't wait till it comes out!! I am shooting in London, and have done various makeup tests to see what product works.

When I was shooting the BAFTA award winning, "Fur TV", the makeup artist used Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, on my skin, and I remember it looking amazing on screen, so I decided to try this for the film. I have to say that it looks amazing!

My skin has some open pores and can be dry to a little oily in the T zone. This makeup is amazing.

First I put on a good moisturiser, like Kiels, Ultra Facial Moisturiser, or, a new discovery os the Rodial Glam Tox SPF 18. Kiels is great to help stick the foundation onto the face and is a great base, but the Rodial is something more. It has Hylauronic acid in it to plump up the skin and to fill in any open pores. It kinda of snaps them shut! It also has vitamin C in it, which we all know is skins saviour, protects from UV, antioxidant, repairs skin, helps with acne and scars, the list of benefits is huge!

Actually, my friend, Ilda Di Vico, the great Hat Milliner to the stars (designed hats for the royal wedding), recommended this. Here she is looking gorgeous with one of her creations. She has designed for so many stars as well as Aishwariya rai, and me!

I actually commented on how her face looked amazing recently, and she told me about this godsend of a cream.

So I tried it under my makeup, and the makeup looked amazing! It looked great on screen, and no complaints from the directors!

Using the Glamtox as a base, I then used Benefits Pore Primer, around the sides of the nose for that extra bit of pore minimising, and then I was ready for makeup application.

I used the Giorgio Armani Luminous silk in 5.5, applied with the Giorgio Armani foundation brush.

The beauty of this foundation is that it has micro-fil technology, another pore filling product. I don't have any wrinkles yet, but I guess it also fills in those. It glides on beautifully and feels great on the skin. it is a medium cover which you can build up, but I prefer to use 1 layer with the luminous silk powder on top.

The makeup is put on around 8am and taken off at around 7pm, so it lasts all day with no touch ups, just a little powder, as I am under harsh film lighting.

I haven't had any breakouts and my skin feels so fresh all day.

I always believe that not only is the foundation and application very important, but what you put on underneath can make a huge difference to how the foundation looks.

Always use what is right fro your skin type, trial and error!

My skin is combination, some dry some oily areas, and I have some open pores and small acne scars. For me this works amazingly, and believe me, it has taken lots of trial and error. Imagine, the first time I saw myself on a cinema screen, I almost died! The makeup artist put a foundation on me that highlighted all my bad points, and my head was the size of a building..I cringed. Now with the right skin care routine, and the right makeup, you can make your skin look beautiful.

I will post again soon on how to improve skin of acne, scars and open pores, it can be done.

But remember, you are unique and beautiful, because what you feel on the inside, will always shine out!
